Kyle Brauer of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered for a sick person in the hospital by baking a desert for them.

Maudie Knicley of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered for Ella Scroggins by cleaning out her flower bed and sweeping off her driveway.

Samantha Senaldi of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered for Michelle Scroggins. She volunteered by helping Michelle with her twin babies while she moved and cleaned her old house.

Samuel Young of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Pastor Edward Anglin. His duties included cutting grass in his new yard.

Josh Hitz of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Jeannie Hemken. Josh watched her sons and went on walks with them.

Chelsea Braman of Mrs. Stotler’s class volunteered for Linda Painter at the Staunton Police Department. She baked cookies and made kool-aid for the police department.

Kirsten Markow of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Anna Mae Schuster. She baked cookies, brought in her mail for 2 weeks and visited her during the week.

Jody DeVries of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for John Adden. Jody brought him cookies while he was working out in his field.

Bryan Rucker of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Katie Krivi. He helped her work at the Staunton Soccer Complex.

Nick Williams of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Mary Jean Kirkwood and The Video Shoppe in Staunton. His volunteer duties included sweeping sidewalks, carpet and putting movies away.

Staunton Public School 5th Grade Volunteer Projects

Cecily Haase of Mrs. Graves 5th grade class was a volunteer for Hilda Larcker. She volunteered by baking cookies for Hilda and her husband.


Debra Kraner of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered for Jackie King at Partners for Pets. She volunteered by walking dogs, and showing people cats, kittens, and dogs.


Deirdra Fey of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered for Jamie Mansholt who is a library worker. She volunteered by placing numbers on the books and reshelving them for the library.


Dylan Caldieraro of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class was a volunteer for Pearl and Janet Valent. Dylan helped with raking leaves, put up their desk and took out the trash for them.


Eric Wheeler of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered at Heritage Manor in Staunton. He brought cookies for the residents and helped serve them coffee.


Stephen Koehne of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered for Animal Doctor John Steinmeyer D.V.M. He volunteered by walking dogs, cleaning rugs and cages, and taking out the trash.


Surbhi Jane of Mrs. Graves 5th grade class volunteered for The Whitfield Family. She volunteered by baking cookies for everyone in the family.

 


Katrina Gowen of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered in the activity department at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra. While she was there she made mobiles to hang above beds, talked with residents, and read fortunes.


Lindsey Mathenia of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class volunteered for Animal Doctor John Steinmeyer D.V.M. She volunteered by cleaning cages, walking dogs, gave baths, and help with shots.


Mason Fraser of Mr. Smiddy’s 5th grade class and Michael Volle of Mrs. Graves 5th grade class were neighborhood volunteers. Their volunteer duty was picking up trash in their neighborhood so it would be a cleaner place to live for everyone.


Matt Caldieraro of Mrs. Graves 5th grade class volunteered baking cookies for Donna Faulkner, who is a member of Matt's church.


Melissa Heigert of Mrs. Graves 5th grade class volunteered for Sullivans Drugs of Staunton. Her volunteer duties were making bows in the gift department, working throughout the store and working in the pharmacy.


Rachel Lewner of Mrs. Graves 5th grade class volunteered for the Staunton Police Department. She volunteered by baking them a cake and making them koolaid.

Sarah Ebersohl of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Michael Robinson. She picked up sticks in the yard so he could mow the grass.

Brandon Hamilton of Mrs Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Mrs. Schmidt. He swept her front porch steps.

Brittney Schrader of Mrs. Stotler’s 5th grade class volunteered for Mr. Schnaare. She cleaned the edges of his sidewalks of overgrown grass, picked up sticks, and cleaned out his flower bed.
